Frequently asked questions.
Do I need holes cut in the bottom for airflow?
A half-sphere fire pit typically doesn’t need extra air holes because its open design naturally allows for sufficient airflow. Here’s why:
The curved shape of a half-sphere directs air from all around the base to the fire. This natural airflow promotes better combustion and keeps the fire burning efficiently without requiring extra ventilation.
The open top of the half-sphere provides plenty of space for air to flow in and for smoke to escape, reducing the need for additional air intake holes.
The rounded design helps radiate heat evenly while still allowing fresh oxygen to circulate under and around the fire.
If the fire pit is raised slightly off the ground (with a stand or legs), even more airflow is available from below, which eliminates the need for drilled air holes. It’s a practical and elegant design!
What do you put on it to make it shine?
To give your fire pit a beautiful shine and protect it, we recommend using boiled linseed oil, which you can easily find at your local Walmart. Applying it is simple—just use a clean rag to rub the oil onto the surface of the fire pit.
This process is similar to seasoning a cast iron skillet or a Blackstone griddle. It not only enhances the appearance but also helps maintain the durability of your fire pit over time. For best results, we recommend reapplying the oil every month, depending on how often you use your fire pit.
Do you ship the fire pits?
Yes, we do ship the fire pits. Currently, we do not have a way to give you a price for shipping immediately. If you reach out in an email with your name, address, and the type of fire pit and attachments you want, let us know wether or not it is going to a residence or a business with equipment to unload. We then will reply within 24 hours with your quote!
Will the fire pit rust?
Our fire pits are made from 3/16-inch thick steel, making them highly durable. While steel can develop surface rust over time, this is minimal as long as you keep the fire pit cleaned out. Any surface rust that does appear can easily be removed with a piece of sandpaper.
Afterward, simply reapply boiled linseed oil to protect the surface and prevent future rust. With proper care, your fire pit will remain in great condition for years to come!
